This publication is also available in: Français Deutsch Italiano Español English (US)

The September marathon of Fashion Weeks has just concluded, and I invite you to explore the five major beauty trends that have emerged on the runways and that you can adopt. Let’s break the ice right away: this winter, we won’t hold back, ditching the too-sedate nude for an explosion of colors and sparkles. From the runways to the backstage and soon to our homes: here’s a glimpse of the 5 most striking trends that will invade our beauty routines. Get ready to embrace these stunning and easy-to-replicate looks!

1. Colorful Looks from Fashion Week

Hyper-colored eye makeup is making a strong comeback this season at Dries Van Noten and Loewe, bringing a burst of vivid and bold colors to our beauty routines. This winter, we balance out the dreary weather with heavily made-up eyes and surprising combinations: fuchsia pink, electric blue, emerald green, or bright yellow.

This beauty trend is a true invitation to play with colors, and you can even dare to try a colored eyeliner for a fun and artistic look. Personally, I have a soft spot for the yellow lashes we saw at Dries Van Noten. I recommend that if you want to try colored mascara, wear a rather light minimalist outfit or completely white to gently highlight your makeup.

How to adopt this trend? Buy a pretty quality color palette with shades you love and colors that complement your skin tone.

2. The Metallic Beauty Touch

The metallic trend is emerging as one of the most captivating of the season. It appears on eyes, but also on nails and lips at Miu Miu. Seen on the runways, these shimmering metallic shades add a futuristic touch to the silhouette.
With the color being very cool and shiny, it’s best to wear it in small touches, but after all, we are entering Halloween season, so nothing stops you from adopting a slightly gothic look as seen at Rick Owens, who dares to go for a total metallic look.

How to adopt this trend? Simply apply a creamy or powder metallic eyeshadow all over the eyelid for an intense effect, or as a subtle touch in the corner of the eye to brighten up the look. For the nails, you can choose a full metallic manicure or add small metallic details to your nails for a more discreet touch.

3. Glowy and Natural Skin

Radiant, naturally glowing skin is undoubtedly the standout trend of this season. Gone are the days of ultra-defined contouring; this year, it’s all about a fresh, glowing complexion without artifices. The goal? A “no make-up” makeup effect for breathable and radiant skin. To achieve this perfect glow, we focus on hydrating bases! This is also a great time to review or change your beauty routine. Don’t hesitate to explore Korean beauty routines, which are the best for achieving the perfectly glowy skin you see on the runways. I discuss this in our weekly newsletter. The Korean routine allows for hydration and brightness in ten steps (or less, it’s up to you depending on your needs).

How to adopt this trend? Use products regularly by adopting a good skincare routine and occasionally do facial yoga to work the muscles and rejuvenate the skin.

4. Minimalist Nails

It’s time to choose your new manicure for autumn, but if you want to follow beauty trends this year, just opt for simplicity with a minimalist manicure. This is the choice made by Alexander McQueen, Gabriela Hearst, and Hermès, to name a few during this latest Fashion Week.

The trend focuses on neutral colors like beige, nude, or white, even 100% natural, with simple geometric patterns if you like to add. Nails are adorned with delicate details, such as small dots, fine lines, or abstract designs for a subtle yet refined effect. Simplicity is king, but with a creative touch.

How to adopt this trend? The first rule for beautiful nails is to take care of them. Whether you’re a regular at the salon or prefer to do your nails at home,

5. Wild Brows

The Paris Fashion Week marked the return of Cara Delevingne to the runways and… completely wild brows!

This season, it’s all about thick, bushy, and natural brows. Brows have gone completely wild at Victoria Beckham and Loewe, adding so much more character to the models! The idea among designers is to enhance the natural texture of the brows, giving them volume without freezing them. Slightly brushed-up brows with a clear or slightly tinted gel add a touch of personality while remaining subtle.

How to adopt this trend? For those with very fine brows, I recommend filling them in with a brown pencil (brown is better than black for a more natural look) before brushing them upwards to widen the gaze.
