This publication is also available in: Français Deutsch Italiano Español English (US)

The brands Monoprix, Kiabi, and Wibra are making a strong impact in the world of interior decoration with their unprecedented collections and innovative concepts. These initiatives reflect a strong trend: to offer new design items, either super trendy or very affordable, tailored to consumer expectations. While Monoprix leads the way in design with sensational collaborations, Kiabi and Wibra may not be making headlines in design magazines, but they are unbeatable on price. Let’s take a quick tour.

Monoprix Unveils Design Innovations in Collaboration with 9 Designers

For its upcoming interior decoration collection, Monoprix makes a big splash by partnering with nine talented designers, including Fleur Delesalle, Julien Sebban from Studio Uchronia, Benjamin Guedj from Bureau Benjamin, Rebecca Benichou, and Florence Jallet from Batiik Studio. It also features Pierre Gonalons, Jean-Pierre & Maryvonne Garrault, and Henri Delord. Thanks to this collaboration that is sure to make waves, these creators could very well become key figures in the design of tomorrow.

We particularly love the collaboration with Benjamin Guedj, known for his 3D decor that blends hyper-realism and fantasy, who creates glossy finished pieces for Monoprix with playful and seventies influences.
Also a favorite is the Uchronia studio, led by Julien Sebban, which reinvents everyday furniture with bold lines, vibrant colors, and surprising materials, including a marble-effect coffee table, a glittery stool, and a flower-shaped rug.
And what can we say about Fleur Delesalle, a designer renowned for her powerful hues and striking curves, who recreates her decorative universe for Monop’ with more accessible iconic pieces suitable for small spaces.

Monoprix continues its commitment to democratizing design by offering design innovations at accessible prices. This collection will be available starting December 4 in select stores and on the brand’s e-commerce site.

To discover it in advance, a pop-up store Monoprix Design will open its doors at 10 Rue de Turenne in Paris from December 4 to 8, 2024. An initiative that aligns with Monoprix’s desire to provide its customers with an immersive and exclusive experience around design.

Kiabi Ventures into Home with Kiabi Home

On its part, Kiabi takes a bold step by launching Kiabi Home, a new brand dedicated to interior decoration. Known for its affordable clothing, the French brand is now exploring the home universe with a varied offer of design innovations, combining practicality and low prices. Here’s what’s on the menu:

  • Textiles: curtains that transform into tablecloths, wrinkle-free bed linens
  • Decor: posters, embroidered cushion covers
  • Storage: chests, floral storage covers

The collection has been gradually rolled out in Kiabi stores and on their online site. This new project marks a strategic step for Kiabi, which seeks to diversify its offerings while remaining true to its accessibility positioning. With Kiabi Home, the brand responds to the growing consumer demand for home items that are more functional than elegant, but accessible to all budgets.

Wibra Arrives in France with Design Innovations

Wibra, the Dutch discount store, a competitor of Hema, Action, and Zeeman, has chosen France to continue its development. Its first store, opened in October 2024 in the north of the country, is already showing promising results. Over 500 m², the brand attracts nearly 2,000 customers per day thanks to its diverse offerings and attractive promotions for its launch.

Building on this success, Wibra plans to open new stores in Roubaix and Tourcoing, and according to the brand, logistical support from Belgium is a major asset that makes this establishment efficient and profitable.

Wibra offers some design innovations for customers looking for very simple interior decoration at low prices. Its offerings include products that are more practical than truly aesthetic, for interiors that probably won’t appear on Pinterest.
However, with a good search, you might just find your happiness among:

  • Home accessories: we particularly love the super cute Christmas decorations that are very affordable
  • Bathroom: sanitary accessories and towels
  • Kitchen and table: modern dinnerware and utensils
