It’s the go-to fabric for sunny days. Invoking a vacation spirit while offering a polished and charming look, linen pieces are making a comeback this spring-summer 2024. And to embrace a wardrobe echoing the ocean, we have prepared a selection of shirts, trousers, jorts, and summer dresses that you’ll want to snag!

The linen shirt, a summer wardrobe essential

Worn during the day with shorts, thrown on after the beach over a salty swimsuit, or tied over an evening dress… The linen shirt is the versatile piece of summer to own. We see it in long-sleeved or short-sleeved styles, in solid colors or finely striped versions. With this piece, all looks are possible, adding a delightful vacation vibe to your silhouette.

The linen blazer: the hit piece of spring-summer 2024

After rediscovering it in denim looks, the blazer continues to assert itself in our wardrobes in a linen version, embodying the summer spirit of Saint-Tropez. Linen blazers offer an elegant silhouette and can be worn for both a white party or a market day. In straight or fitted versions, it can be paired with linen trousers of the same shade or play with a trendy black and white look.

Trousers, bermuda, and shorts: 3 lengths of summer linen pieces

The main advantage of this natural fabric is its breathability. Linen pieces are wonderfully lightweight, making them suitable even on scorching hot days. This allows us to create outfits of various lengths without ending up drenched like a mint julep left in the sun.

We can thus adopt linen trousers, in either straight or relaxed versions. For a trendy touch, opt for the striped version, which is set to be THE piece to flaunt this summer. To show off your legs, turn to shorts or indulge in the return of the bermuda, now referred to as “jort”.

A linen skirt in dressed-up or casual style

Linen pieces can create very elegant outfits for a dinner or an evening out. Notably with white or black pencil skirts. The presence of bows or laces can also allow for the creation of enticing texture play. These skirts can be paired with other pieces made from this fabric, such as crossed tops or spaghetti strap tops.

In flared or fitted versions, with thin straps or puff sleeves, linen dresses are pieces with multiple faces. They cater to all body types thanks to their various cuts and can find a place in wardrobes with diverse inspirations. Ultimately, these are the perfect linen pieces for an effective and elegant look, without needing to mix several items from your carry-on.

What to wear with linen outfits?

With their vacation-like atmosphere, linen pieces pair wonderfully with accessories of a similar style. On the shoe front, we no longer need to introduce the duo “linen & Birkenstocks”. In closed or buckle styles, these sandals are a hit all year round and even more so in summer. This season also sees linen pieces combined with sunny silhouette mules. And alongside the return of wedge espadrilles, competitors to Birk’ seem to be making waves: fisherman sandals. For a taller silhouette at the end of the day, black heeled sandals will pair beautifully with pieces that have a cinched waist.

On the bag front, crochet, wicker, and raffia are making a stylish comeback this season and tastefully complement linen pieces. Lastly, hair clips seem to overshadow scarves this year, and they are set to be colorful!
