In order to combat the Parisian grayness, today I invite you to discover the Spring-Summer 2025 collection from UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON. Because yes, it is finally available in stores! (and we have already fallen for it…) For this new collaboration with the Japanese brand, the British designer offers us a modern preppy-style wardrobe, composed of classics and notes of originality. Between polo shirts, Oxford shirts, and denim, the collection manages to transcend time, playing between the timeless, the vintage, and the current. And for us, the bet is won!

UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON: 9 years of creative collaboration, all in style

This new collection between UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON marks the 9th year of collaboration between the two brands. Started in 2017, this creative exchange has given birth over the years and seasons to creations celebrating craftsmanship and British style.

Alongside his seasonal wardrobes inspired by the English landscape and culture, Jonathan Anderson has also let his creativity express itself at the heart of collaborations between UNIQLO and Roger Federer. These creative spaces have allowed him to study the function of clothing, as well as its composition and construction, from different angles. As a result, he has highlighted various crafts and raw materials, which are particularly anchored in the “LifeWear” philosophy of the Japanese brand.

After taking us on a journey through marine landscapes this autumn-winter, the current Creative Director of LOEWE offers us, for the beautiful days, a reinterpretation of the modern preppy style.

A Spring-Summer 2025 collection with a modern preppy style, between classics and playful notes

For this Spring-Summer 2025 collection, Jonathan Anderson has imagined a wardrobe that combines timeless pieces with accessories featuring bolder cuts and colors. A mix of inspirations, which offers us a fresh vision of modern preppy style, while retaining an alluring vintage note.

On one hand, we discover some basics. With denim, which continues to charm, particularly in jean or shirt-dress versions. And, to let our legs breathe with the return of the sun, we observe the return of the chino shorts, adding an elegant and relaxed touch to the silhouette.

In tops, the polo shirt emerges as one of the signature pieces of the new collaboration between UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON. This one reveals itself in models heavily influenced by rugby polos, as well as in cleaner versions with solid colors. The stripes of the polo have also inspired the creation of striped t-shirts, offering a vintage-themed variation.

Another key piece of JWA’s wardrobe for the Japanese brand is the Oxford shirt. This piece, which saw its popularity soar last year, will shine again in 2025. However, here, the designer has rethought its silhouette by removing a few centimeters.

This boxy cut gives the shirt an elegant character and immediately elevates an outfit. Moreover, if you are also part of the short team (welcome to you!), this shirt is the dream piece! And it is particularly on this one that I have fallen, the love at first sight was immediate!

The boxy cut also makes its way onto a sweatshirt, providing a nice dynamic to the silhouette. However, we also find more classic cuts with a zippered sweatshirt and a blazer jacket to appeal to all profiles.

The colors are meant to be soft and timeless, with shades of beige, green, blue, and pink. A few brighter notes make their way into the collection, such as red, orange, and yellow. These are particularly present on the accessories complementing the collection. In addition to the usual socks, we discover for this season a denim cap, a drawstring bag, and a tie featuring the striped pattern.

The new Spring-Summer 2025 collection by UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON captivates us with its composition. Indeed, this new vision of modern preppy style plays with vintage charm while knowing how to anchor itself in the present. Moreover, these timeless pieces can be worn for many years, allowing us to create various looks. They can shift from an elegant outfit to a slightly more casual ensemble, making the pieces interesting to mix and match, thanks to their colors, patterns, and cuts. Especially with the accompanying accessories.

Another point to highlight is the fact that the pieces are designed to be unisex. However, if you want to get your hands on a piece from the men’s wardrobe in a small size, you’ll need to hurry, as they are highly sought after (I write this from experience, after scouring several stores in search of the smallest size of socks… Spoiler: I returned empty-handed).

In addition to falling for the new collection designed by UNIQLO and JW ANDERSON, we’re sharing here a few pieces created by the designer for his eponymous brand.

Continue your dive into the world of Jonathan Anderson by discovering our experience at LOEWE Perfumes. And I’ll see you soon to discuss film and costumes, as the designer has just completed a second collaboration with Luca Guadagnino, for whom he previously designed the costumes for the film Challengers. (and the result is incredible).
