Berlin Fashion Week: 3 Must-See Fashion Shows
This publication is also available in: Français Deutsch Italiano Español English (US)
The Berlin Fashion Week may not have the glamour of Milan or Paris, nor the big stars strutting down the runways, but it is an unmissable event for young designers and innovations in fashion. This year, three shows particularly stood out for their creativity and unique vision of contemporary fashion. In this article, I wanted to share with you some silhouettes from the best shows of this Berlin Fashion Week!
The paradisco show by Marcel Ostertag at Berlin Fashion Week
Deep house music pumping, bold silhouettes confidently striding to the upbeat rhythm, models with a dynamic walk. This is the kind of show I love!
The collection is inspired by the Garden of Eden. A disco paradise of the 1970s with pieces that could belong to a Balenciaga collection.
Marcel Ostertag is a German designer (like Karl Lagerfeld) who has made a name for himself internationally. He enjoys showcasing models that represent the era, and it is truly a treat to see older or plus-size models on the runway.
There were plenty of cut-outs paired with glamorous pieces, silver that evokes the futuristic aspect of the Garden of Eden, and colors and floral lace patterns reflecting nature.
The love-themed show by Danny Reinke
The collection is called Stupid Cupid and one can say that love greatly favors Danny Reinke who presents a magnificent and very coherent collection.
One of the aspects I enjoy the most when attending a show is understanding the designer’s intention, and here, everything makes sense. The show presents very diverse silhouettes that perfectly express the different stages of love, starting from the meeting, through heartbreak, to marriage.
We can see the corset, the quintessential romantic piece that has been very trendy in recent Fashion Weeks.
The Renaissance-inspired show by Trey
It is always a lovely moment to attend a first show by a young designer.
The label Trey belongs to Cambodian designer Simmy Chhun, who presented for the spring/summer 2025 season pieces of lingerie and light, clean-cut dresses inspired by the Renaissance.
Originally from Phnom Penh, Simmy Chhun grew up in a family of stylists and seamstresses before flying to the famous Central Saint Martins College of Fashion in London and ESMOD Fashion School in Berlin.
Before launching her brand Trey, Simmy Chhun worked for Tom Ford and Dior.
I’m sharing a few photos from the show. Personally, my favorite piece is the golden pants. I am a fan.
The corset is present in most of the designs, and we also see colors.
