Our guilty pleasure made in Netflix is back! Yes, Queer Eye season 9 has just been revealed to us, and we devoured it in no time! With a new destination and new team composition, what did we think of this new season?
Queer Eye Season 9: Our Shot of Good Vibes for the Holidays
Every year, we eagerly await it. It’s our comfort show, the one we watch endlessly that fills us with joy and good spirits. And let me tell you that Queer Eye season 9 charmed us just as much as the previous seasons did.
The recipe for this new edition remains the same. Namely, making us go from laughter to tears in a hair flip or a grand split, while honoring humanity and elevating everyone to the best version of themselves. In short: all the energy we need to prepare for 2025! And spoiler alert, this season does not stray from its required quota of tissues to survive the episodes!
Viva Las Vegas, Between Dreams and Disillusions
For Queer Eye season 9, the Fab 5 headed to Nevada to unpack their bags in Las Vegas. And I must say that the choice of destination for this new season has particularly tapped into the emotional strings of the show. Indeed, the 10 selected profiles and their respective stories highlight the reality of this city and its paradoxes, between glamour, dreams, and disillusionment.
The strength of Queer Eye season 9 is to highlight both the showbiz and extravagant side of the city, as well as the hard reality faced by some of its residents. This season thus offers a unique and interesting perspective on this city and what it comprises. The same goes for the life trajectories of the heroes of this season, which highlight numerous questions and enrich the show by emphasizing its human and caring aspect.
Once again, the meetings and transformations come with a beautiful emotion and energy that transport us into this bubble of good vibes that is Queer Eye!
What Do We Think of the New Version of the Fab 5?
It goes without saying that the success of the Queer Eye series largely relies on its casting. It is indeed the personalities of the Fab 5 and their complementarity that create the show’s DNA, its dynamic, and have forged our attachment to the program over the years. Thus, having to evolve the casting after 8 seasons was a potentially risky bet… But one that has been executed brilliantly!
Indeed, Queer Eye season 9 not only brought novelty into households, it also revamped its team composition following Bobby Berk’s departure. This is how we met Jeremiah Brent, the new interior designer of the show. And from our side, we fully approve the choice.
On one hand, his arrival brings a real breath of fresh air to the series, creating an immediate sense of harmony with the rest of the group, composed of Tan France (also seen on the show Next In Fashion), Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, and Karamo Brown. Also, the new recruit of the Fab 5 (who has already made his mark on Netflix) has revealed some stunning renovations throughout this new season. His approach to decoration perfectly blends his influences with the stories of the program’s heroes, offering new spaces that are both elegant, modern, and full of personality. We love it and wish we could also give him free rein in our interiors!

Queer Eye season 9 has thus won us over, and we hope to get a season 10! Furthermore, the Fab 5 went on a tour across the USA in early December.
