Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès, an ode to the journey of the senses

Playing on the senses and rich in its nuances, the art of perfuming echoes that of traveling. The House of Hermès has been developing a scented range in this vein for more than twenty years, conducive to olfactory travel. The Parfums-Jardins transport us through their blends around the world, from the Mediterranean to the Nile, passing through the lagoon and Chinese gardens, to meet a place, its aura, and the vision perceived by its creator. For its new creation, Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès, available at Tendance Parfums, Christine Nagel, the house’s perfumer, was inspired by her memories to craft this eau de toilette enveloped in the soul of the Peloponnese.

This Greek island, enchanting artists forever, has let the marriage of its blue coast, golden sun, and warm winds create a blond fragrance, with solar and woody notes. A mist that calls us with its citrus touches, comforts us with its pink pistachio, and transports us with its grasses and olive wood. The mind escapes to other lands, in a time that seems to stand still.

Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès offers a unisex blend, enhancing both masculine and feminine profiles. The eau de toilette envelops us with its blend and is worn like a postcard, rich in memories and nostalgia. Or, as a first step towards escape, before we set our suitcases down on this gentle island. Its mist lightly caresses us like the wind of the Cyclades, and stays on our skin all day, like the memory of the salty sea on our golden skin.

The House of Hermès and Christine Nagel offer us here a suspended moment, a sensory getaway.

Les Parfums-Jardins: the soul of a house and its creators

The Parfums-Jardins range highlights the various skills of the House of Hermès, from the composition of the fragrance to its packaging, which extends the olfactory journey offered by the eau de toilette.

Fred Rawyler designed a bottle revealing the color of the perfume through a glass with golden gradients. A delicate object, in reference to the lanterns of old carriages. And enhancing the sunny atmosphere carried by Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès. The transparency of the bottle reveals the movement of the elixir, which blends with the undulation of the Aegean Sea on a summer day.

The perfume nestles in a case, also filled with dreams and desires for travel. Designed by Elias Kafouros, the case transmits the first notes of the promised escape to this Greek paradise. A delicate sketch revealing the aromas of the elixir it contains, through a landscape bordered by a blue azure sea, punctuated with pink, green, and golden notes.

Between freshness and woody character, Un Jardin à Cythère by Hermès reveals, through the know-how of the house’s creators, a blend as captivating as it is exotic, presented as a call to depart. Made in France, the eau de toilette is available in 30 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml sizes. The bottles are refillable to never leave the golden coast of the Greek island.
