Halloween: orange nail polish, do we approve or not?

Spoiler alert, yes, we are totally on board with orange nail polish to celebrate Halloween. Unless you live in the USA and are wearing an incredible costume on the evening of the 31st, there’s a good chance you will be celebrating Halloween in a rather subdued way, as this holiday is much less significant in Europe than it is for our American friends.

You might have already adopted one of the trendy nail polish colors this autumn. If not, now is the time to have fun seeing life in orange and to celebrate the cold season that is gently approaching us.

To bring a little lightness into this not-so-cheerful October due to political tensions, I decided to talk about the many shades of the color orange to reclaim Halloween. Because yes, “the feast of all saints,” in its original name, originated over 2500 years ago in the United Kingdom and Gaul! The Celts believed that the end of October symbolized the end of summer. They then celebrated the new season in honor of the worlds of the living and the dead.

Whether you are as inventive as Kendall Jenner in her giant cucumber costume or not… orange nail polish is the perfect ally to celebrate Halloween as it should be.

Pumpkin Nail Polish

Orange pumpkin nail polish for Halloween? We say yes! Add some gold jewelry to further embellish your hands, and indulge in some oversized rings to celebrate October 31st as it should be.

There are several shades of pumpkin; this one is a bit dark with a very slight touch of brown. In addition to being perfect for Halloween, the color is very autumnal, so keep your nails until November to celebrate this lovely season that makes you want to stay cozy indoors with a tea.

Chrome Orange Nail Polish

Halloween yes, but all in shine!

This glossy and vibrant orange pairs very well with gold and silver jewelry. Worn on shorter nails, the touch of shine adds a sophisticated and glamorous side.

This color is easier to wear long-term due to its more nude aspect. It is ideal if you want to keep your orange manicure at work, for example, where the flashy pumpkin orange shade would be too eye-catching.

This is the shade of orange that best represents Halloween! You won’t go unnoticed, but then again, that’s not the goal of the operation.
