What are the boot styles to wear this winter?

Summer is still lingering a bit in certain regions of France, but it won’t last long. Indeed, winter will inevitably arrive, and it’s time to think about updating your winter wardrobe. Today, we are going to talk about shoes, specifically boots and booties, to tell you which models are the trendiest this year. 

The Return of Retro Boots

This winter, we are witnessing a strong comeback of the classic ankle boot from the 1970s. First, there’s the platform style with a square heel that was ideally worn with “ flare ” pants. We particularly love the patent ankle boots in green, burgundy, or even yellow. This type of boot will be gladly worn with wide-leg, high-waisted pants that create the illusion of having disproportionately long legs. On top, a colorful silk shirt, a denim shirt, or a fitted turtleneck will complete the look.

Chelsea Boots

The Chelsea boot is a fitted ankle boot with elastic sides. This winter, the Chelsea boot comes in two very different styles. First, there’s the classic Chelsea, elegant and sleek with a square heel, to be worn with wide pleated trousers and an “ oversized ” jacket. Pointed Heeled Boots

For a few years now, the trend has been towards riding boots with a round toe, minimal heels, and a leather strap at the ankle. Equestrian boots will always be in fashion, but in terms of style, we will get closer to the authentic riding boot, especially with bi-material models and khaki colors. This type of boot will be worn with skinny jeans as well as with a quilted jacket or a blazer to add an even more distinctive touch to your look. 

The Elegant Heeled Bootie

Finally, for elegant outfits and more casual looks, we will still opt for classic heeled booties with decorative elements (leather strap, gold or silver buckle). This bootie can be worn with everything : with an elegant dress, with fitted pants, with a skirt, or even with jeans.
