The death of Loana has shaken us all. Yet, amid the depressions, addictions, repeated misfortunes, and above all, a toxic exposure that destroyed her, her end was not a surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Woman as a Battleground<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This title is taken from the eponymous play by Romanian author Mat\u00e9i Visniec and, even though the subject of his work does not feature a bimbo, it reflects well what women must endure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since her entry into the loft, where her image was previously crafted as the perfect “cagole” from Nice, Loana has been dissected from every angle<\/strong>. When we pay attention to how she has been treated in the media, we realize that, indeed, nothing is ever right with women. Too beautiful, she is sexualized; too fat, she is destroyed. Too naive, she is mocked; too fragile, she is pushed around; too loud, she is called hysterical; too outspoken, she is silenced\u2026 in short, aside from when she posts a perfect photo on Instagram (and even then, there are haters everywhere), there is always something wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a sudden and violent exposure, where we see the radiant young girl from the South upon her exit from the loft, where she had gained everything: fame, a story that could have been a love story, money, and above all, what she needed: recognition and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, Loana sank into depression, drugs, and addictions. If viewers experienced the Loana era as a historic television event, one wonders how she, alone in the face of this tsunami of fame and criticism, experienced the shock of being hyper-mediated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Death doesn\u2019t even stop the fascination with her body. Even on Instagram, her body was filmed wrapped in a white cover as it left her building, ready to go to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Witnesses, All Guilty? The Loana Tragedy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even before she became famous, Endemol, the production company of Loft Story, had rewritten her story. From the moment she auditioned for the very first reality TV show, her image would escape her, and a new narrative would be constructed for her, especially one that aimed to slap all the worst labels that can be assigned to a woman<\/strong>, to a young woman seeking fame, forgetting that she was only 24 years old, that she was a mother, and that she was intelligent and sensitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loana is the unfortunate example of the misfortunes that can happen in a woman’s life<\/strong>: the portrayal of her intimacy, the sexualization of her body, a rape, and mockery of her traumas. Is it believed that traumatizing famous or wealthy women is more ethical and acceptable?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same theme, I recommend the podcast of the show Les pieds sur terre titled \u201cThe Robbery of Kim K\u201d <\/strong>which gives voice to Kim Kardashian’s robber, who is praised for having tied her up and stolen from the star. During the trial of the thieves, we hear Kim recounting her fear of dying and that she was thinking of her children. Naturally, she is a human and a mother. As if money and fame were a barrier against trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Can We Learn from Loana’s Death?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That we destroy ourselves living under the pressure of others, that we consume women, their traumas, their bodies, and everything we can to adore them and then throw them to the wolves at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s as if Loana maintained a toxic relationship with the public, with television, and at the same time, she inspired so many young girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her death also revealed a new face of society: a kinder face that grieves for her fate, realizing that nothing was done to prevent her from sinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the media, there is still more attention given to women. Women pay more attention to each other, there is more kindness in general and mutual support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It remains that for the loft icon, hell was other people. And hell was also herself.<\/strong> Like a duality that she could no longer bear. The image she was supposed to project, the image the public used, the image that was thrown back at her, and finally, the image that no one wanted to see of her, that of a woman who suffered and who benefited from a system that ultimately killed her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She surely paved the way for women who could, because mentalities have evolved, embrace their bimbo side and play a pseudo innocence or stupidity to turn it into financial success, entrepreneurship, or something else. We think of Nabilla, for example, and those who followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bimbos have evolved and so have mindsets. Appearing stupid and accepting to be viewed as such to gain money and success is ultimately the most intelligent path these women take, judged for their bodies and their perceived stupidity. While they do nothing but transform a vulnerability and a need for recognition into financial or emotional security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bimbos, These Women Who Change the World<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bimbos and “cagoles” have often been denounced as overly feminine women, even anti-feminist, while if we take a closer look, it is precisely they who are evolving society and the perception of women, sometimes, like Loana, at their own expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
