The MET Gala, which takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 4, marks the opening of the year’s major fashion exhibition, which will have the theme \u201cCostume Art\u201d<\/u><\/strong>. There will surely be theatrical silhouettes, perhaps even very experimental ones, scholarly nods, and maybe even unexpected twists. In short, a surprising theme that will stimulate the imagination. The exhibition Costume is Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For those lucky enough to visit New York this year, or the intrepid travelers heading to the United States, what can we expect to see at the exhibition \u201cCostume is Art\u201d<\/u><\/strong> presented by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition explores the intimate relationship between clothing and the human body<\/u><\/strong>, serving as the thread of a journey designed as a dialogue between art and fashion. According to curator Andrew Bolton, it is inspired by \u201cthe centrality of the dressed body in the vast collection of the museum.\u201d In other words, clothing is not merely an accessory: it becomes a subject, a language, a presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
