The Jacquemus fashion show took place this Sunday, January 26, in Paris, within the majestic setting of the former apartment of architect Auguste Perret. An intimate setting for a select audience, gathering loyal followers of the brand. Among them were Anna Wintour<\/strong>, former First Lady Carla Bruni<\/strong>, the stunning Pamela<\/strong> Anderson<\/strong> glowing without makeup, influencer Lena Mahfouf<\/strong>, as well as French actors Fran\u00e7ois<\/strong> Civil<\/strong> and Audrey<\/strong> Tautou<\/strong>. Models Tina<\/strong> Kunakey<\/strong> and Laetitia<\/strong> Casta<\/strong>, who were already present at last summer’s show at Casa Malaparte in Italy, once again answered the call. Here\u2019s a brief recap of the hot outfits and inspirations from this show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Debrief!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This season marks the return of mixed-gender shows at Jacquemus<\/a>, similar to Gucci<\/a>, which has also adopted this format this year after having abandoned it for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show La Croisi\u00e8re<\/em> opens like a breath of fresh air aboard a cruise ship, with the arrival of the first model completely dressed in white, in a flowing dress. As during the show La Casa<\/em> presented at Villa Malaparte<\/a>, the models advance slowly, allowing guests to appreciate every detail of the outfits that are revealed with elegance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among them, iconic models: Adriana Lima<\/strong>, marking her grand return to Fashion Week, alongside Eva Herzigova<\/strong> and Christy Turlington<\/strong>. They share the runway with new modeling stars, like Mona<\/strong> Tougaard<\/strong> and Imaan Hammam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

La Croisi\u00e8re: A Show That Makes You Want to Travel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In terms of inspirations, much has been said about the 1950s, which is true, but for me, the reference that Simon Porte Jacquemus draws from goes much further back. His silhouettes echo the simplification of clothing at the end of the 19th century, around 1880, a time when organized travel by Thomas Cook in Europe and Egypt influenced a more fluid fashion, freed from corsets and uncomfortable accessories to favor movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This show, entirely filmed with an iPhone 16 Pro Max, also highlighted French culture.<\/strong> Staying true to his attachment to heritage, Simon Porte Jacquemus chose this time to pay homage to sculptor Aristide Maillol<\/strong> by having his models walk in front of the statue La Baigneuse<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Outfits from the Jacquemus Show<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As usual, Jacquemus plays with volume and lightness to create silhouettes that are both structured and airy. Staying true to his sunny aesthetic, the collection mixes neutral tones like white, black, and camel with vibrant touches of yellow, especially seen on sandals and handbags. In terms of prints, leopard \u2013 available in color and in black and white \u2013 polka dots, and stripes on a long dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One particular cut caught the attention of fashionistas, and it\u2019s safe to bet that it will make its way into our wardrobes this spring: rounded shoulders paired with a high flared collar<\/strong>. As for dresses and skirts, they adopt fluid lengths that guarantee absolute freedom of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
