This weekend, we head to Germany for Berlin Fashion Week!<\/strong> Among the standout shows, it’s impossible to miss Insomnia<\/strong>, the latest runway presentation by Marcel Ostertag showcasing his 2025 collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing inspiration from the eclectic energy of Berlin’s streets, the designer \u2013 trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London \u2013 views fashion as a true platform for reflection, integrating eco-responsible innovations into his creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As this edition of Fashion Week comes to a close, it’s time to take you on a colorful debrief of the Insomnia<\/strong> show!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Debrief of Marcel Ostertag’s Show in Berlin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are certain shows that one wouldn’t miss for the world at Berlin Fashion Week, and Marcel Ostertag’s<\/strong> is undoubtedly one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several reasons: first, the music and the ultra-conquering stride of the models, which give the show a perfectly controlled rhythm. This may seem anecdotal compared to the outfits, but we all know that it’s these details and precision that allow for a total immersion in the creator’s universe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show opens with techno music. Marcel Ostertag<\/strong> draws his inspiration from the soul of Berlin: from geeks to clubbers<\/strong>, with disco influences in between. A true concentrate of eternal youth, embodied by feminine silhouettes of all ages, resolutely ready to embrace the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I became a fashion editor, I believe I have seen one of the most beautiful models of my career on this runway: Petra van Bremen<\/strong>, a stunning 65-year-old model with impressive hair<\/strong>. She closed the show, and I promise you that gasps were heard among the front rows as she walked with incredible class and charisma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Silhouettes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s impossible to know what to expect, except to be surprised. Marcel Ostertag boldly mixes influences: on one hand, oversized faux fur coats that evoke the Berlin silhouettes roaming the clubs, and on the other, resolutely sexy outfits that recall the carefree elegance of the French Riviera. Here are the strong trends spotted during the show:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Mint green<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This is a soft color, but when used in faux fur coats, it makes a statement. This shade was paired with white or darker forest green to add depth with lace accents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Electric blue<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      We’re talking about a total electric blue look! Bright and bold, electric blue made its mark through two contrasting silhouettes: a sportswear jacket-pants set, worn shirtless for a raw effect (but easily adaptable with a white top to soften the look), and an ultra-disco version with a short ruffled jacket, puffed sleeves, and flared pants, directly inspired by the 70s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Sunglasses<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Sunglasses that accompany an oversized faux fur coat or geeky glasses as a finishing touch to a rather modest look with a sequin jacket, we know that Marcel Ostertag has a passion for glasses, and of course, he plays with this signature accessory to structure his looks and assert his aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Cut-outs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          From the opening of the show, a cut-out dress adorned with small barrettes captures attention. This detail, both aesthetic and structuring, appears on several pieces, while the long dresses in the show oscillate between a dramatic vampiric allure and a bold nod to the 2000s.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Faux fur<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Marcel Ostertag is one of those designers who work with eco-responsible materials from the early stages of creation, and his collections are as eco-friendly as possible. The faux furs in black or mint green tell the particular aesthetic story of Berlin as well as its progressive side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
