After the oversized glasses or cyclist spirit – shield<\/a>, the eyewear trend is now shifting towards finesse and longer silhouettes<\/strong>. Indeed, for the past few months, the optical world has seen the return of forgotten shapes, with rounded or rectangular lines. This change is, as always, a result of the popularity of a trend-aesthetic<\/strong>: librarian core. With Oxford shirts, tailored skirts, and librarian-style glasses, this new trendy chapter, which started last year, is set to reach its peak in 2025, featuring a new emblem: the oval Miu Miu Regard glasses!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Librarian Core: A Glory Moment for Librarian Glasses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They have been taking over social media for a few months and are becoming even more prominent in recent weeks: librarian glasses! (or secretary glasses for some models). These have become the must-have fashion accessory<\/strong> (on your nose, but especially in your Instagram snaps), highlighting the vintage – y2k<\/a> aspect defining the librarian core.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the pairs with rectangular lines<\/strong> stand out for their retro style reminiscent of “Krys glasses bought in 2003 with the formula 1 pair of glasses bought = 1 pair of sunglasses free”<\/em>. Here too, these prescription or sunglasses come in acetate versions, like the model worn by L\u00e9na Situations<\/a>. Miu Miu Oval Regard Glasses: The Success of the Tortoiseshell Pair<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Introduced during the AW 2023\/2024 fashion week<\/strong>, the Miu Miu oval Regard glasses, with their 80’s silhouette, were the star pair of the collection. Priced at \u20ac370, we later rediscovered them in a sunglass version. Once again made with their tortoiseshell border<\/strong>, this pair has become a Miu Miu signature model. And it has never ceased to charm, as evidenced today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
